As a first generation American, Ms. Poonja is committed to the field of immigration law. Since 2013, Ms. Poonja has been representing corporate and individual clients on a wide variety of business and family immigration law matters.

The USCIS extended certain COVID-19-related flexibilities through 3/23/23. USCIS will consider a response received within 60 calendar days after the due date set forth in the notice, if the request or notice was issued between 3/1/20 and 3/23/23.

The notice from USCIS states the following on the eventual nonuse of this COVID practice: “USCIS anticipates that, barring changes presented by the pandemic, this will be the final extension of these accommodations, and requesters must comply with the response requirements set forth in any request or notice dated after March 23, 2023.”

To reiterate, this only applies to notices issued up until 03/23/23.
